SEPTA is a crucial part of our community in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Every day, its bus routes and rail lines connect riders to schools, workplaces, medical facilities, family members, and more. I remain committed to fully funding SEPTA in the 2025-2026 Pennsylvania State Budget, and hearing your personal experiences with SEPTA is important to me.
Millions of Pennsylvanians depend on SEPTA, and without adequate funding, many would be stranded without alternative means of transportation. Traffic congestion on major roadways in Southeastern Pennsylvania would significantly increase from the heavy flow of cars. But this is not just a Philadelphia issue. The Commonwealth’s economy depends on the southeast region, so reducing access to the city and surrounding areas would have devastating impacts across the Commonwealth. Mass transit must be funded here and across the Commonwealth to keep our economy strong.
I’ve heard from hundreds of constituents about the devastating impacts service cuts would have on our community. Your stories illustrate the importance of mass transit.
Are you an employer whose workers depend on SEPTA to get to work? Are you a student who relies on SEPTA to attend class? Regardless of why you use SEPTA, I would love to hear your SEPTA story! As I continue advocating for SEPTA funding, I would like to share some of your stories publicly as real testimonies of mass transit’s importance in our community.
