BUCKS COUNTY – September 9, 2026 − Senator Steve Santarsiero (D-10) along with Representative Jim Prokopiak (D-140) announced today they secured $50,000 in state funding for Pennsbury Manor in Falls Township.
The Pennsbury Society, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports Pennsbury Manor, will use the grant to establish a public Wi-Fi network at the site. The network will give visitors access to information and educational materials about William and Hannah Penn, the Manor House, and the history of Pennsbury. As the nation reflects on its 250th anniversary, Pennsbury Manor is marking 343 years of history and looking for new ways to connect that history with visitors today.
“William Penn laid a number of the foundation stones for our current constitutional government, and his gifts continue to affect us all today,” said Doug Miller, site director, Pennsbury Manor. “With this grant, we can continue building on that legacy while ensuring Pennsbury Manor remains a relevant place for visitors to engage with this history today.”
“Pennsbury Manor is one of the places where we can see our state’s history come to life in Bucks County,” said Senator Santarsiero. “This investment in a site Wi-Fi network will help more visitors connect with the people, ideas, and history that shaped our Commonwealth and our country. I’m proud to support efforts that preserve that history while making it more accessible to the next generation.”
