BUCKS COUNTY – September 15, 2026 – Senator Steve Santarsiero (D-10) along with Jim Prokopiak (D-140) announced today $850,000 in state funding:
- $400,000 for Morrisville Borough for a street sweeper
- $450,000 for Tullytown Volunteer Fire Company for a replacement pumper truck
With this funding, Morrisville Borough will acquire a new street sweeper to improve the effectiveness of Morrisville’s Public Works Department in keeping streets clear of debris and well-maintained. By reducing debris on roadways, this vehicle will improve Morrisville’s stormwater management and street maintenance capabilities.
“It is essential that we keep our roads safe and clean to promote public safety,” said Senator Santarsiero. “This investment will enhance road cleanliness across Morrisville Borough, keeping residents and visitors alike safe, especially following severe weather events. I am proud to support this initiative, which will protect Morrisville from the harmful environmental effects of debris and pollutants.”
Tullytown Volunteer Fire Company, a volunteer fire company that has served residents and businesses in Tullytown Borough since 1919, is receiving funding for a new pumper truck. This apparatus is equipped with modern safety systems, enhanced suppression technology, and refined vehicle stability. With this truck, Tullytown Volunteer Fire Company will be better able to keep its firefighters safe as they respond to emergency situations.
“Our brave firefighters risk their lives every day to keep our community safe,” said Senator Santarsiero. “This new truck will allow the firefighters at the Tullytown Volunteer Fire Company to safely and reliably respond to emergencies and enhance their ability to save lives. I will continue to support essential investments to keep our first responders safe.”
“The LSA grants that were awarded today continue to invest in our communities in Lower Bucks County,” said Representative Prokopiak. “These are critical investments in our future- strengthening our first responders in Tullytown with life-saving equipment, as well as providing the infrastructure to maintain clean streets in Morrisville. I will continue to advocate for grants that better Lower Bucks County.”
Administered through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Local Share Account (LSA)- Statewide program allocates gaming revenue through the Commonwealth Financing Authority to support projects that improve the quality of life of citizens in the Commonwealth.
