Eligible Pennsylvanians can now apply for rebates on the property taxes or rent they paid in 2024. The deadline to apply is June 30, 2025.

WHAT’S NEW TO THE PTRR PROGRAM?

Thanks to the first expansion of this program in almost 20 years, nearly 175,000 more Pennsylvanians qualify for a property tax or rent rebate. Additionally, many of the 430,000 Pennsylvanians who previously qualified under the program’s prior guidelines will see their rebates increase. The key changes are as follows:

■ For homeowners, the income cap increases from $45,000 to $46,520 (Excluding half of social security income).
■ For renters, the income cap increases from $45,000 to $46,520 (Excluding half of social security income).
■ For everyone, the income cap is tied to increases in the cost of living, meaning it will automatically grow with inflation.
■ The maximum rebate amount increases from $650 to $1,000.
