BUCKS COUNTY – September 15, 2026 – Senator Steve Santarsiero (D-10) along with Representative Tina Davis (D-141) announced today $1,115,461 in state funding:
- $900,000 for Bristol Borough for Green Lane Storm Pipe Replacement
- $71,161 for International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local Lodge 13 for an HVAC Project
- $144,300 for Mental Health Partnerships for Mobile Peer Outreach Project
- $250,000 for Levittown Fire Company No. 2 for a new fire truck
Bristol Borough is receiving funds for a storm pipe replacement project along the Green Lane corridor. The project will reduce the recurring flooding along the Green Lane corridor (from Bristol Pike to Radcliffe Street), including the Amtrak overpass and the surrounding industrial, residential, and commercial properties. This project will replace the existing undersized stormwater pipe, replace the check valve at the river outfall, and restore all impacted roadways. Replacing the stormwater pipe will improve roadway safety, maintain emergency and commercial access during major rain events, and protect the approximately 300–325 nearby homes, businesses, and institutions.
“Flooding is a serious and growing concern for communities across Pennsylvania, and investing in stormwater infrastructure is one of the most important things we can do to protect our residents and our local economy,” said Senator Santarsiero. “We’ve seen firsthand how devastating flash floods can be in the 10th Senate District. I’ve worked on flood prevention and resilience for years, including in the Legislature and through my service on the Pennsylvania Flood Insurance Premium Task Force, and I know how important it is to address these problems before the next major storm hits. This project will reduce recurring flooding along the Green Lane corridor, protect hundreds of homes and businesses, and help keep roads open and emergency and commercial traffic moving when our community needs it most.”
The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local Lodge 13 is receiving funds to replace and upgrade the aging HVAC systems at Boilermakers Local Lodge 13’s Union Hall to improve climate control, energy efficiency, and safety. These upgrades will ensure uninterrupted, year-round training for apprentices and continued use of the facility by community partners. By reducing energy costs and extending the building’s lifespan, the project supports long-term workforce development and regional economic growth. It also preserves the Union Hall’s role as a community hub for meetings, events, and collaboration.
“Strong workforce development depends on having places where workers can learn the skills they need to succeed,” said Senator Santarsiero. “Upgrading the HVAC system at Boilermakers Local Lodge 13 will help ensure apprentices can continue their training year-round in a safe and comfortable facility, while also allowing the Union Hall to remain a resource for community partners. This investment supports our skilled trades, strengthens our workforce and helps lay the foundation for continued economic growth in our region.”
Mental Health Partnerships is receiving funds to purchase three minivans, to be used for mobile outreach efforts aimed at homeless individuals who are experiencing mental health crisis in Bristol Township. Currently, Mental Health Partnerships provides outreach to at risk individuals through providing roving patrols in areas of local police stations, hospitals, and shelters. The vehicles that are used have reached their useful life and continue to have frequent breakdowns. The new vehicles will allow staff to efficiently provide services to individuals in need.
“Mental Health Partnerships brings support for homeless individuals directly into our community, working alongside local partners to reach people who might otherwise fall through the cracks,” said Senator Santarsiero. “These new vehicles will replace unreliable vans and allow their outreach teams to spend less time dealing with breakdowns and more time connecting vulnerable residents with the services and support they need.”
Levittown Fire Company No. 2 is receiving funds for the purchase of a new fire truck to be used in Bristol Township. The company’s current specialized fire truck is approaching the end of its useful lifespan which could limit the department’s ability to effectively manage fires. The company will purchase a new, specialized fire apparatus equipped with a 65-foot elevated master stream and fully remote-controlled boom.
“Our firefighters need reliable equipment to respond effectively when our community faces a fire or other emergency,” said Senator Santarsiero. “Levittown Fire Company No. 2’s current truck ages, replacing it now will ensure firefighters have the tools they need to protect lives and property. This new truck will strengthen our local emergency response capabilities and help keep Bristol Township residents safe for years to come.”
“This funding will help address several very real needs in our community, and the associated projects will help Bristol Borough better manage flooding, as well as ensure Bristol Township has adequate fire response vehicles, proper job training facilities, and access to outreach teams for people who need support,” said Representative Davis. “These are much-needed investments, and I’m honored to endorse efforts that make a real difference for the people of Bucks County.”
Administered through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Local Share Account (LSA)- Statewide program allocates gaming revenue through the Commonwealth Financing Authority to support projects that improve the quality of life of citizens in the Commonwealth.
