Shredding Event

Senator Steve Santarsiero of the 10th District and Representative Wendy Ullman of the 143rd District will be holding a free paper shredding and community drive to properly dispose of or recycle unwanted items.

The event, which features an on-site industrial paper shredder, will take place on Sábado, Junio 8th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Groveland Elementary School, 1100 N. Easton Road, in Plumstead Township. Additionally, numerous community groups will be on hand to collect various non-paper items for disposal or reuse.

No es necesario retirar los clips ni las grapas. Retire los clips negros grandes y las carpetas de tres anillas. No trituramos guías telefónicas, libros, periódicos ni artículos que no sean de papel. Cada persona puede triturar un máximo de tres cajas de archivadores o de fotocopiadoras. Los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de ver cómo se tritura su papel in situ. Se ruega estar en la cola a las 12:30 p.m. como muy tarde para poder participar en la trituración.

Examples of items to bring for shredding include:

• Bank and credit card statements
• Tax documents
• Insurance claim forms
• Anything that lists a Social Security Number

Individuals are also encouraged to bring the following non-paper items for proper disposal or reuse:

• Furniture
• Eyeglasses/sunglasses, hearing aids
• Unused or expired over-the-counter or prescription medications (no needles or Epi-pens)
• Clothing, shoes, games, toys and books (all in good shape and usable condition)
• Cellphones, chargers, small appliances and small household items
• Can tabs
