I am happy to announce that my district satellite office is officially open in Tullytown Borough.

A special thank you goes out to Mayor David Cutchineal, Secretary Nancy Conner, Police Chief Daniel Doyle, Fire Marshal Daniel Pasciullo, members of the Tullytown Borough Council, and other local officials for welcoming my staff and me, and for providing a beautiful space for us to reach even more constituents.

Stop by Borough Hall, 500 Main Street, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 am and noon, and we’ll be happy to help!

Taking a Stand Against Gun Violence

Senator Santarsiero speaking at a vigil to honor victims of gun violence in El Paso and Dayton

Our community came together at Salem United Church of Christ in Doylestown to mourn the senseless loss of 31 innocent lives in the El Paso and Dayton mass shootings. I share the frustration of many that while a majority of residents support meaningful gun safety bills, these bills are never called up for a vote. That is why I joined several of my colleagues in calling for a Special Session of the General Assembly to enact common sense gun safety measures this fall. In the upcoming session, I will work to hold a vote on gun safety bills I sponsored, Senate Bills 137 and 138, that would require the safe storage of all firearms.

As co-chair of the PA Safe Caucus, a bicameral body dedicated to reducing gun violence, I applaud the executive action taken by Governor Wolf to address this daily occurrence. We must work together to confront the rise of extremism and break the cycle of gun violence in our country.

Live Town Hall in Lower Makefield

Senator Santarsiero speaking with residents during the town hall

I got to hear from many constituents at my live town hall in July at the Lower Makefield Community Center. I was glad to be able to give a legislative update on what’s been happening in Harrisburg and residents were given the opportunity to share their thoughts on issues that are priorities for them here in District 10. To those that came out, thank you for participating in a civil and productive discussion.

$6 Million in RACP Grants Awarded to Local Businesses

grants

I was very pleased to announce that through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget, four District 10 organizations were awarded grants for extensive capital improvement projects: Doylestown Borough and the Central Bucks Regional Police Department, the YMCA of Bucks County, Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center of Bucks County, and Pennridge Development Enterprises, Inc. I’m glad to support local municipalities, non-profits, and businesses seeking opportunities to expand their services in our community.

You can learn more about these grants in our press releases page. Visit the district newsroom section of my website for details.
